What Does the Study Involve?
The purpose of this clinical trial is to evaluate the effectiveness of new therapeutic options for asthma treatment. Participants will receive high-quality medical care and access to innovative therapies under the supervision of our specialized medical team.
Inclusion Criteria
To ensure the study is safe and effective, participants must meet the following requirements:
- Confirmed diagnosis of asthma for at least 12 months.
- Use of maintenance asthma therapies, such as inhaled corticosteroids (ICS), ICS/LABA combinations, or additional treatments like leukotriene receptor antagonists (LTRA), long-acting muscarinic antagonists (LAMA), or theophylline, for at least 3 months with stable dosing in the last month.
- Use of inhaled short-acting β2-agonist (SABA) as needed.
- Documented history of at least one severe asthma exacerbation in the last 12 months.
- Ability to perform acceptable and reproducible peak expiratory flow (PEF) measurements.
- Adherence to specific contraception methods, and for females of childbearing potential, a negative pregnancy test.
- Body Mass Index (BMI) below 40 kg/m².
Additionally, patients must be willing to sign an assent form, and caregivers must provide written consent for the minor’s participation in the study.
